Restoring Power Outages:

LADWP has been advised by CALFIRE Unified Command that they may proceed with reenergizing the circuit serving Encino and portions of the circuits serving Brentwood that have been without power. LADWP crews are now working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to these customers.

Circuits that remain de-energized are unable to have power restored until Unified Command determines that it is safe to restore power to customers in these areas. LADWP power system crews are in direct contact with CALFIRE and other agencies through Unified Command and they will continue to provide updates as they receive them.

As customers are returning to their homes, if they see that a neighbor has their power restored but they do not, try resetting the circuit breaker first. If power is still out, call LADWP's customer service at 1-800-DIAL-DWP (1-800-342-5397) for assistance.

Air Quality Guidance:

Residents are reminded that exposure to ash from the Palisades and Eaton wildfires remains a potential health concern and are reminded to take proper precautions to protect themselves. Windblown ash particles may be too large to be detected by air quality instrumentation and not reflected in the Air Quality Index (AQI) map. However, ash is typically visible to the naked eye either in the air or on outdoor surfaces. Although the AQI may show green, hazardous ash may be present in the air.

South Coast AQMD reminds residents to take precautions under any of the following conditions:

  • AQI Levels are elevated.

  • You smell smoke.

  • You see ash.
