Defence Minister Nufi participates in Ukraine Defense Contact Group Meeting in Brussels

Defence Minister Ermal Nufi participated in the 35th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group held in Brussels, where he reaffirmed Albania's commitment to supporting Ukraine in line with NATO's values and objectives.

In a statement shared on social media, Minister Nufi stressed that Albania remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine and will continue to contribute to the collective efforts of allies in defending the country's freedom, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

"Albania remains unwavering in its support for Ukraine. Since the beginning of Russia's aggression, we have stood shoulder to shoulder with the Ukrainian people in defending their freedom, sovereignty, and territorial integrity," Minister Nufi stated.

The meeting brought together defence ministers from allied and partner nations to coordinate continued support for Ukraine and discuss the latest developments affecting Euro-Atlantic security.

The discussions highlighted the importance of sustained international cooperation and solidarity in addressing current security challenges and supporting Ukraine's efforts to safeguard its independence and territorial integrity.
