TRAFFIC ALERT:Pavement Sealing Work Planned on Route CC in Cedar Co. April 20

When: 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday, April 20

Where: Route CC in Cedar County between Missouri Route 97 and Missouri Route 32 west of Stockton

What: MoDOT crews sealing Route CC with a mixture of rock and oil

Traffic Impacts:

• Both lanes of Route CC CLOSED in sections where crews are working
• Drivers will encounter flaggers directing them through the work zone and should expect delays of up to 20 minutes
• Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
• No signed detours
• Drivers urged to find alternate routes
• Check MoDOT's Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.

A seal coat is not an alternative to an asphalt overlay, but is planned for this road as an economical way to maintain and preserve the roadway. The treatments keep a road from deteriorating and will extend its life.
