United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York - Judicial Feedback Survey for Chief Judge Jil Mazer-Marino

Wednesday, April 8, 2026

Chief Judge Jil Mazer-Marino of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York asked the Federal Judicial Center (FJC) to survey attorneys and trustees to obtain feedback about her judicial performance. The FJC is the research and education agency for the federal courts. The judge's decision to ask the FJC to conduct this survey is entirely voluntary and reflects Judge Mazer-Marino's ongoing commitment to provide the highest level of public service possible.

During the week of April 13, the FJC will send an invitation email to attorneys and trustees who have practiced before Judge Mazer-Marino in the past five years. The email will explain how to access and complete an online questionnaire.

The survey procedure is set up so responses are anonymous, even to the researchers. Research staff at the FJC will compile the responses and provide Judge Mazer-Marino a report. The report will include the comments that are provided in response to the open-ended questions and tables or figures aggregating the results for the closed-ended questions. The survey report is exclusively for Judge Mazer-Marino's use in improving her performance.

If you do not receive an invitation email from the FJC and are an attorney or trustee who wants to participate, please contact Meghan Dunn at [email protected] or Ashley Walters at [email protected].

If you have questions about the survey or encounter any technical difficulties, please contact Meghan Dunn or Ashley Walters.
