As Seen on Socials: SIUE Honors the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

SIUE students, faculty, staff and guests gathered for the 43rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration, hosted by the Kimmel Belonging and Engagement Hub in collaboration with campus and community partners.
This year's luncheon focused on the theme, "The Power of the Dream: Becoming an Agent for Change," encouraging intentional action toward justice, equity and inclusion.
Keynote speaker Dr. Ilyasah Shabazz challenged attendees to move beyond reflection and use their voices to create meaningful change. The event also featured musical performances and the presentation of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Awards.
