City of Clearwater Prepares for Events to Increase Beach Traffic

Published on December 27, 2024

The city of Clearwater anticipates an increase in traffic on Clearwater Beach as it hosts two major events: the ReliaQuest Bowl Beach Day on Dec. 29 and Light It Up Clearwater on Dec. 31.

With ongoing construction in the area, traffic disruptions are expected, particularly along Coronado Drive and South Gulfview Boulevard.

To ease congestion, the Clearwater Police Department and city management encourages residents and visitors to consider alternative transportation options, including rideshare services and carpooling. The Jolley Trolley will be available for the ReliaQuest Bowl on Dec. 29 and can transport patrons from Downtown Clearwater to Clearwater Beach.

The city appreciates the public's cooperation and patience as it works to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone attending these celebrations.
