Community National Bank (CNB) President and CEO Christopher Caldwell is proud to announce the promotion of David Rubel to Regional Vice President of Commercial Banking. In this role, Rubel will continue to expand CNB's commercial banking presence, develop referral opportunities, and build strong, long-term relationships with clients, prospective customers, and community organizations throughout Vermont and New Hampshire.
Rubel joined CNB in 2014 as a Portfolio Manager and was promoted to Commercial Loan Officer in 2019 and Assistant Vice President in 2020. Throughout his tenure, he has played a key role in supporting local businesses, developing new commercial relationships, and growing the Bank's presence in the Upper Valley and surrounding markets.
Rubel is a graduate of the ABA Advanced Commercial Lending School, the Northern New England School of Banking, the RMA Commercial Lending School and the New England School for Financial Studies. He earned a bachelor's degree from American University in Washington, D.C., and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is currently enrolled in the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
Rubel is active in several professional and community organizations. He serves on the advisory boards of the Vermont Small Business Development Center and the ABA Commercial Lending School. He is also a board member of the Vermont Chapter of the Risk Management Association (RMA). Rubel resides in Lebanon, New Hampshire, with his wife, Minori. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, golfing, and playing guitar.
