Crowell & Moring Marks Six Months of Legora Integration with Transformative Results Across Global Platform

Washington, D.C. - July 22, 2026 - Crowell & Moring LLP today shared results from its firmwide integration of Legora as a collaborative AI platform. Crowell has realized significant gains in opportunities to deliver for clients across practices and jurisdictions.

Since piloting Legora in late 2025 and formally launching the platform in January 2026, the firm has recorded more than two million interactions. Eighty-two percent of the firm, including 91 percent of its more than 700 attorneys, have become Legora users, and nearly 70 percent of those attorneys use the platform on at least a weekly basis.

"The speed and depth of adoption we have seen across the firm speaks volumes, not only about the platform, but about the culture of innovation we bring to our work every day," said Chahira Solh, Chair of Crowell's Executive Committee. "When we committed to this investment, we did so with the conviction that AI, deployed thoughtfully and responsibly, would meaningfully enhance the way we serve our clients."

The integration of Legora builds on Crowell's longstanding commitment to innovation, including its creation of an innovation department in 2021, led by Chief Innovation and Value Officer, Alma Asay, and the development of its proprietary AI platform, CrowellAI, released in early 2024. The firm continues to leverage CrowellAI, and dozens of other AI tools, for specific use cases, including the delivery of custom solutions tailored to specific clients and industries.

Legora was selected to expand upon the firm's internal capabilities following rigorous evaluation by the firm's innovation team and more than 40 pilot attorneys. Those attorneys were CrowellAI power users who came into the pilot with specific, advanced client-centric use cases to test. Legora's deployment has been accelerated by the firm's focus on responsible AI use, including mandatory firmwide training on the risks and benefits of AI, tool-specific onboardings, practice-specific workshops, robust in-house reporting across AI tools, and governance requirements within the platform.

"When we decided to partner with Legora, we had the benefit of having specifically identified what was needed to take our AI efforts to the next level," said Asay. "Six months in, both the data and the feedback from our attorneys and clients confirm that our confidence in Legora was well placed."

Across the firm, attorneys in a wide range of practice areas have reported measurable improvements in the speed, quality, and strategic value of the service they deliver to clients.

Jason Crawford, a partner in the firm's False Claims Act and Government Contracts practices, described the platform's impact as foundational: "Legora has fundamentally transformed the level of service I can offer on FCA and other matters," Crawford said. "By incorporating our firm's existing proprietary knowledge resources, we've been able to provide clients with faster, more comprehensive advice backed by specific scenarios that otherwise would have taken days to unearth. That speed and depth of counsel has opened the door to entirely new service offerings around risk assessment and compliance, giving our clients access to a level of strategic guidance that simply wasn't possible before."

Shelley Rosenberg, a partner in the firm's Health Care Litigation practice, has led the adoption of Legora across her teams: "Our clients expect us to bring every advantage we can to their matters, and Legora has allowed us to do exactly that," Rosenberg said. "By accelerating how we access key evidence and test new ideas, we're delivering at a higher level in high-stakes, time-sensitive situations, including at two recent arbitrations at which we prevailed."

Christian Lichtenberger, an associate in the firm's Corporate Group, described the platform as indispensable to his daily practice: "Legora has meaningfully enhanced the level at which I can operate across a wide range of corporate matters," Lichtenberger said, "meaning clients are ultimately getting higher value from a lower cost resource."

Elissa Tenenbaum, an associate in the firm's Patents Group, noted the platform's impact on professional development and client outcomes: "Legora has accelerated my learning curve and, therefore, value to clients in ways I didn't anticipate," Tenenbaum said. "During a recent trial, my team leveraged the platform to prepare more thoroughly and respond more nimbly than an opponent with a larger team. The result was a stronger, more strategic representation of our client's case, ultimately leading to the strongest possible victory for our client."

"We're proud to partner with Crowell & Moring, a firm with a powerful internal AI ethos and a clear vision for how technology can elevate legal practice," said Max Junestrand, CEO and co-founder of Legora. "The results the firm has achieved in six months stand out and demonstrate what's possible when firms pair our technology with effective approaches to client service and change management."
