On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my congratulations to the people of New Zealand as you commemorate Waitangi Day on February 6.
In the past year, the United States and New Zealand have taken our partnership to new levels - expanding law enforcement collaboration, deepening defense cooperation, and conducting joint maritime operations. We are also working to develop secure and reliable critical minerals supply chains, reinforce economic resilience, and support prosperity across the Pacific. New Zealand remains an essential partner to the United States in maintaining security and stability in the Indo-Pacific.
As we look to the future, we are excited to continue advancing cooperation in technology, space, trade, and regional security. Our partnership is moving forward with energy and purpose, and together we will ensure the Indo-Pacific region remains secure, resilient, and prosperous for all.
