CSVT Southern Section Continues Progress in Monroe Township and Shamokin Dam Borough, Snyder County

​Montoursville, PA - Construction continues on the Southern Section of the Central Susquehanna Valley Transportation (CSVT) project in Snyder County.

Construction Update
On Monday, October 28, 2024, the contractor, Walsh Construction Company, II, LLC, will begin installation of steel beams for future the CSVT highway over Eleventh Avenue (Route 1019).

Motorists can expect a portion of Eleventh Avenue in Shamokin Dam Borough and Monroe Township to be closed between North Susquehanna Trail and Park Road (Route 1017). A detour will be in place utilizing Park Road for the during the project, which is expected to be completed in approximately three weeks.

Elsewhere on the project, work continues on structures over Stetler Avenue, Grangers Road (Route 1020) and two bridges that will connect CSVT to Route 61.
