Participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the High-level Meeting to Launch the Global Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence Governance

On September 25, 2025 in the margins of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated in and addressed the High-level Meeting to Launch the Global Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence Governance.

In his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted both national and international initiatives of Tajikistan, particularly the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, entitled "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Creating New Opportunities for Sustainable Development in Central Asia," the resolution on which was successfully adopted by the United Nations General Assembly.

Minister Muhriddin also announced that the Government of Tajikistan plans to host the first Dushanbe AI Conference on October 24-25, 2025, and encouraged UN Member States to take part actively in the event.
