The RA Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan met with IMF Mission Chief for Armenia, Alexander Ferenc Tieman, to summarize the results of the mission's work.
During the meeting, the parties highly appreciated the effective course of the mission, the agreements reached, as well as the Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) implemented with the IMF's support, which has significantly contributed to improving Armenia's credit rating and strengthening macroeconomic stability.
The participants also discussed opportunities for enhancing economic potential through investments in human capital. In this context, special attention was given to the ongoing efforts aimed at introducing a universal health insurance system, Armenia's tax policy, and the tools for efficient public finance management.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of developing a new, more effective Stand-By program, underlining that cooperation with the IMF plays a key role in consistently advancing Armenia's reform agenda.
