No reason this sweet, young Golden Retriever mix hasn’t found his forever home

Just as his name suggests, Red is a Golden Retriever-mix with a beautiful red coat.

Golden Retrievers are known to be outgoing, energetic, and eager-to-please family dogs that have a playful zest for life and love of the outdoors. This 2-year-old boy matches this description perfectly. Red loves the outdoors and exploring new places, so he would make an excellent hiking or walking partner. He can be a bit strong on leash, so training is recommended as well as a dog meet if there is another dog in the house. In between his curious sniffing and bursts of energy, Red will approach new people with a charming smile on his face, asking for affection. He also leans into his person and enjoys back scratches immensely.

Staff and volunteers are surprised that Red has been available for adoption for nearly a month since he is a great dog and will make a wonderful companion for a loving family. To help him find his forever home, his adoption fee to an approved applicant is $20 courtesy of DAWG.

To meet Red, stop by 28095 Hillcrest. For more information, visit cmvas.org or call 949-470-3045.
