Council Member Dr. Sarah Stoeckel Elected as Second Vice President of the Florida League of Cities

Titusville, FL - September 19, 2025 - The City of Titusville is proud to share that Council Member Dr. Sarah Stoeckel, a dedicated advocate for our community since joining the Titusville City Council in 2016, has been elected to serve as Second Vice President of the Florida League of Cities (FLC). Her term will continue through August 2026.

Dr. Stoeckel's leadership has long been rooted in serving Titusville and the Space Coast. Since 2018, she has represented our region through the Space Coast League of Cities (SCLOC), holding positions including President, Vice President, Treasurer, and State Board of Directors District Seat. Each role has allowed her to bring Titusville's voice to the table and strengthen collaboration across neighboring communities.

The Florida League of Cities works to protect local decision-making and ensure Florida's 400+ cities, towns, and villages have a united voice in shaping policy, services, and support. In this new statewide role, Dr. Stoeckel will not only represent municipalities across Florida but also ensure that Titusville's priorities and challenges are heard at the highest levels.

"I am extremely honored and humbled to have been elected into this leadership role at the state level," Dr. Stoeckel said. "This is not just a win for me-it's a win for Titusville. Our city will be highlighted in important conversations about legislation, resources, and partnerships that directly impact our community. My hope is to build stronger connections with the State so we can better serve our citizens right here at home."

The City of Titusville congratulates Dr. Stoeckel on this outstanding achievement and looks forward to the opportunities her leadership will bring-not only for the Space Coast but especially for the people of Titusville.
