Greensboro Police Arrest Man In Connection With Recent Shooting

GREENSBORO, NC (September 3, 2026) - Greensboro Police arrested a man Wednesday in connection with a shooting last month on Randleman Road.

The department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) and Crimes Against Persons Squad, with the assistance of the NC State Bureau of Investigation and the Guilford County Sheriff's Office, arrested James Arnold Breeze, 61, on charges for a shooting that happened Aug. 13 in the 2300 block of Randleman Road, which resulted in injuries to two victims.

Breeze is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury; one count each of discharge of a firearm in the city limits and going armed to the terror of the public; and three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Breeze remained in the Guilford County Jail without bond Thursday afternoon.
