AEM is pleased to offer its members insights on the changing immigration landscape and its direct impact on manufacturers through its upcoming Member Education Webinar: The Changing Immigration Landscape - Powering Manufacturing's Workforce, taking place on June 18, 2026, from 1-2 p.m. CDT.
As economic conditions and workforce demands continue to shift, and as compliance scrutiny expands, business immigration plays an increasingly important role in supporting operational success across the manufacturing industry. AEM's upcoming webinar will break down immigration strategy across three key phases: launching and scaling facilities, solving labor shortages in high-demand roles, and mitigating the costs and risks of non-compliance.
Attendees will gain practical insight into sponsorship timeframes, long-term strategies, expense considerations, and key visas, alongside actionable guidance for building an audit-ready immigration and compliance policy.
The webinar will feature Fragomen Immigration and International Business Counsel Ana María Mieles, and it will be moderated by AEM Senior Vice President of People Strategy Julie Davis. Drawing from her own experience as an immigrant, Mieles provides counsel to domestic and multinational corporations on a wide range of immigration matters. With unique litigation experience, Mieles also represents clients in immigration-related federal court cases and appears before USCIS, the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of State, U.S. consulates, the Administrative Appeals Office, and related agencies.
