Meeting between the Foreign Minister of Armenia and the EU Commissioner for Enlargement

On June 14, in Luxembourg, within the framework of the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with the EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos.

Marta Kos congratulated Ararat Mirzoyan on the victory in the parliamentary elections, which is a positive message for the further deepening of the Armenia-EU partnership.

Minister Mirzoyan touched upon Armenia's foreign policy priorities for the upcoming period, based on the mandate received from the citizens of Armenia through their democratic vote, including the vision for advancing the Armenia-EU strategic agenda and European integration.

The interlocutors discussed specific mechanisms for promoting the economic component of the Armenia-EU partnership and the upcoming steps for their implementation.

Minister Mirzoyan and Commissioner Kos exchanged views on the agenda of the Commissioner's upcoming visit to Yerevan on July 5.

During the meeting regional developments were also touched upon.
