Bloomington’s Fall 2025 Free Bulk Pickup starts October 6

BLOOMINGTON, IL - Public Works Department crews will collect bulk at no additional charge for Solid Waste Program customers from October 6 to October 17 for the Fall 2025 Free Bulk Pickup.

Public Works has a new interactive map with projected start dates that will be updated as crews progress. Pickup dates may be adjusted, depending on the amount of material, weather, and other factors. The interactive map is available on the City website at https://www.bloomingtonil.gov/solidwaste.

Once the seasonal pickup event is complete, Public Works will resume regular leaf, brush, trimmings, and $25-per-loader-bucket bulk pickup according to the 2025 Leaves, Brush, Trimmings, and Bulk Calendar. During regular pickup, these materials are collected on the opposite week that recycling is collected.
