North Frankfort Avenue between East 51st Place North and East 46th Street North will be closed to thru traffic starting as early as Monday, Sept. 23, due to ongoing construction on the new Chamberlain Park Pool.
The closure will last approximately two weeks.
A complete closure will take place between E. 49th Ct. N. and W. 41st St. in front of the Jane A. Malone Community Center parking lot. During this closure, the Jane. A. Malone Community Center at Chamberlain Park will remain open and access to the parking lot will be limited to the northern entrance near 49th Ct. N.
Chamberlain Park Pool, which is funded through $3.4 million from through the Improve Our Tulsa sales tax package, is expected to be open by the Summer 2025 pool season. The pool's construction is the first of a major renovation at Chamberlain Park, which will eventually include a new community center, new playgrounds, a walking trail, a covered basketball court, and more.
By year's end, the City expects to finalize a plan for those new amenities and more information will be shared when those details are completed.
