Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan and Hungary

On December 4, 2025, in Vienna, on the sidelines of the 32nd Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Hungary, including in the political, economic, trade and educational spheres, as well as cooperation with European Union and multilateral relations within international organizations and other areas of mutual interest, including situation in Afghanistan.

At the end of the meeting, the Foreign Ministers have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation under the Stipendium Hungaricum Programme for the years, which provides the scholarships to Tajik students at universities in Hungary.
