M-53 ditch and slope repairs begin May 2 in Lapeer County

DAVISON, Mich. -The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be making ditch and slope repairs in areas along M-53 from Bowers Road to Deanville Road in Lapeer County. Work will include geotextile installation and riprap placement at several areas that have experienced washouts.

This work is a continuation of a 2024 project to resurface 8.2 miles of M-53 north of Imlay City.
