County-Operated Lake Lanier Parks and Campgrounds Open for Summer

County-Operated Lake Lanier Parks and Campgrounds Open for Summer

Forsyth County Parks & Recreation parks, boat ramps and campgrounds on Lake Lanier are OPEN amidst potential closures of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operated parks on Lake Lanier.

Below is a list of County operated facilities on Lake Lanier, all open:

  • Charleston Park
  • Mary Alice Park
  • Six Mile Creek Park
  • Young Deer Creek Park
  • *Bald Ridge Campground
  • *Sawnee Campground
  • *Shady Grove Campground
*Reservation required (not for day use)

The following are U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-operated parks in Forsyth County:

  • Tidwell Park
  • Little Ridge Park
  • Two Mile Creek Park
  • Vanns Tavern Park
  • Keith Bridge Park
  • Long Hollow Par
  • West Bank Park

With any closures of the above Corps parks on Lake Lanier, visitors at Forsyth County's parks/ramps on Lake Lanier can anticipate higher than usual attendance, particularly over Memorial Day weekend.

PLEASE NOTE: Army Corps of Engineers park passes are not accepted at Forsyth County operated campgrounds/facilities that require paid access.
