Join Fire Chief Lyon with Fireside Chat at ICSC
Join Iowa City Fire Chief Scott Lyon for a new monthly conversation focused on safety, preparedness, and protecting our community!
The first Fireside Chat with Chief Lyon, the first in an ongoing series, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Iowa City Senior Center.
With more than 25 years of fire service experience, Chief Lyon will share practical safety tips and interview special guests-including EMS professionals and fire department staff-on topics that matter most to community members.
Participants will also learn about helpful resources such as the Community Connect program and have opportunities to suggest future safety topics. This welcoming, interactive discussion is part of a new pilot program designed to keep our community informed, prepared, and connected.
