President and CEO of Kentucky Highlands, Jerry Rickett, was honored to fulfill his role as Vice Chairman of the Center for Rural Development's Board of Directors at the groundbreaking ceremony for The Center for Rural Development's new Regional Training Center, held August 24 in Somerset.

The ceremony brought together community and state leaders to celebrate this important investment in the future of Kentucky's workforce, including Lonnie Lawson, President & CEO of The Center; Mark Haney, Chairman of The Center Board; Congressman Hal Rogers, 5th District; State Representative Josh Branscum; and State Senator Rick Girdler.

Congressman Hal Rogers has played a significant role in The Center since its beginning, making this milestone especially meaningful.

Branscum Construction is honored to serve as Construction Manager for this exciting project, with Sherman Carter Barnhart serving as architect.

The project includes the construction of a new Regional Training Center, designed to prepare students and workers for high-demand careers throughout our region, including: Aerospace Technology, Defense Manufacturing, Industrial Maintenance, and Electronics Certifications.

In addition to the new Training Center, the project includes the renovation and expansion of The Center's Ballroom.
