U.S. Route 169 and Northeast Riverside Terrace intersection improvement project to begin March 2

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Hoy Excavating, LLC for an intersection improvement project at U.S. Route 169 and Riverside Terrace south of St. Joseph. The project is scheduled to begin Monday, March 2.

The project will shift the U.S. Route 169 roadway slightly north from Summerhill Drive to just east of Southeast Riverside Terrace. This project will also realign both the north and south entrances of Southeast Riverside Terrace at the intersection of Route 169 to improve sight distance.

Traffic Impacts: Route 169 will be closed between Route AC and Southeast 70th Street. A signed detour will be in place guiding motorists from Route 169 to Missouri Route 31 to U.S. Route 36 to Interstate 29 then back to Route 169.
