DALLAS - Dallas ISD is hosting the More Choice Expo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., this Saturday, April 11 at the Automobile Building in Fair Park. Families can enjoy fun activities, free food, connect with school officials from nearly 200 Legacy Schools, and register on-site for the 2026-2027 school year.

Longfellow blends culinary skills with career readiness
Henry W. Longfellow Career Exploration Academy is seeing growing interest in its unique culinary arts program, the only one of its kind at a Dallas ISD middle school. Through a two-year pathway, students gain hands-on experience in kitchen operations, hospitality, and food science while exploring the cultural and historical roots of cuisine. With opportunities like industry visits and food handler certifications, the program is equipping students with practical skills, creativity, and a foundation for future careers in the culinary and hospitality fields.
