Cross-Sector Battery Showcase Event

15 May 2026

Battery Innovation on Show - 18 June 2026, Leicester

If your business has a stake in vessel electrification, marine battery systems, or the wider decarbonisation of commercial operations, this event is worth a day of your time. The Cross-Sector Battery Systems Innovation Network is holding its 3rd in-person industry showcase on 18 June 2026 in Leicester - bringing together battery supply chain businesses and a broad range of end-user markets under one roof, including maritime, rail, aviation and construction.

Who's Behind It?

The Cross-Sector Battery Systems Innovation Network was launched in 2020, co-funded by Innovate UK and the Faraday Battery Challenge. Its mission: to build an open, collaborative cross-sectoral community connecting battery manufacturers, next-generation technology innovators, supply chain partners and end-users. Five years on, the Network has grown to over 5,000 members - making this one of the largest battery-focused communities in the UK.

What's on the Agenda?

The showcase is designed to spark connections and surface practical insight. You'll have the opportunity to meet new partners and collaborators across the battery ecosystem, with sessions drawing on the collective experience of the wider network. Previous showcases have tackled:

  • Battery safety
  • Supply chains
  • Circular economy
  • Next-generation battery technologies

For British Marine members, direct access to battery supply chain specialists and cross-sector technical expertise is a genuine shortcut to navigating the fast-moving landscape of marine electrification and clean propulsion.
