Closure of East Ash Street between Orr and St. James streets, July 9-Aug. 7

(COLUMBIA, MO) - Beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday, July 9, East Ash Street will close to traffic between Orr and St. James streets to allow a mural to be painted on the north side of the building at 110 Orr St. The closed portion of East Ash Street will also be used for construction on the ongoing North Village Park project.

Westbound traffic on East Ash Street will be detoured north via St. James Street to Park Avenue or south via Hubbell Drive. Barricades on East Ash Street at Orr Street will prevent westbound traffic from entering the closure area.

The sidewalk and parking spaces in this area are already closed due to construction of North Village Park. For more information about the existing sidewalk closure, see the Parks and Recreation department's previous press release.

East Ash Street is expected to reopen to traffic by 5 p.m. Friday, August 7.
