La Guitarrizma! opens this weekend

at the Bath House Cultural Center!

August 15 - September 26, 2026


Reception: Saturday, August 15, 6-8 PM
With music by Bnois King Band, featuring Rob Donavan

Free and open to the public

Celebrate the guitar and the guitarists who have helped shape and enrich the world of music through this exhibition of paintings, sculptures, photographs, mixed-media works, and art created on functional guitars. Honoring local favorites and iconic artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Prince, Lita Ford, and Lead Belly, La Guitarrizma! celebrates the enduring influence of guitar music across generations.

The exhibition also places special emphasis on Dallas guitar legend Stevie Ray Vaughan, whose remarkable legacy inspired many of the participating artists.

Featuring Lead Artist Jose Vargas and artists from across North Texas, Waco, and San Antonio, including:

Paulina Altamirano, Grego Anderson, Eva Azul, Lori Brennan, Tomas Bustos, Terry Calderon, Dwayne Carter, Enrique Fernández Cervantes, Jeremie Fletcher Bourcy, Jacque Forsher, Merry Fuhrer, Gustavo Gonzalez, Cynthia Green, Robert Hamilton, Juan J. Hernández, Genaro Hernández, Sherry Houpt, Rick Hublein, Karen Jacobi, Cindy Kelley, Braulio Lazón Conde, Skip Lee Ralls, Cory Lind, J.
