B RAMPTON, ON - The City of Brampton is taking a proactive, community-first approach to fire prevention with its Home Safe Home campaign. Through to August 31, 2025, the campaign is helping protect Brampton neighbourhoods with fire and CO safety education delivered through direct outreach and in-home visits.
A key part of the initiative is a home inspection program that focuses on single-family dwellings. Over the past three years, Brampton Fire and Emergency Services (BFES) has collected inspection data to identify trends, address areas of concern and guide campaign outreach. This evidence-based approach allows the City to deliver targeted education and reinforce compliance with smoke and CO alarm requirements.
In addition to inspections, Brampton fire trucks regularly visit neighbourhoods as part of the campaign. These visits help increase visibility, connect firefighters directly with residents and provide on-the-spot safety guidance. Educational materials, conversations and community engagement all play a role in raising awareness and promoting life-saving practices.
