USDA Rural Development Highlights RNDC Partnership During National Small Business Week

(Ely, Nev. May 8, 2026) - As part of National Small Business Week, U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development in Nevada is proud to highlight its continued partnership with the Rural Nevada Development Corporation (RNDC), a collaboration that strengthens economic opportunities and supports resilient local economies across rural Nevada.

This partnership exemplifies USDA Rural Development's commitment to empowering local organizations that understand the needs of their communities and are uniquely positioned to help small businesses thrive. Through technical assistance, lending support, and community-based engagement, USDA Rural Development and RNDC continue to expand access to capital and create pathways for long-term economic growth.

"Supporting rural prosperity is at the heart of our mission," said Alida Ceballos, USDA Rural Development State Director for Nevada. "Investments in rural relending demonstrates our deep commitment to ensuring that small businesses in rural communities have access to the capital and resources they need to grow, innovate, and build a stronger Nevada. We are proud to partner with the Rural Nevada Development Corporation, whose leadership and dedication continue to create meaningful opportunities across the state."

USDA Rural Development recently awarded RNDC $750,000 through the Intermediary Relending Program (IRP) , a critical investment that allows RNDC to provide low-interest loans to small businesses and community facilities in underserved rural areas. This funding will help entrepreneurs start, expand, and sustain their businesses, which support job creation and advancing economic vitality throughout rural Nevada. As USDA Rural Development recognizes National Small Business Week, it celebrates the impact of partners like RNDC, whose dedication and local expertise drive meaningful progress for Nevada's rural communities.
