Chinese Ambassador to Guyana Yang Yang and Guyanese President Ali jointly Attend the Spring Festival Gala Dinner of the Guyanese Chinese community

On February 22nd, Ambassador Yang Yang and Guyanese President Ali jointly attended and addressed the 2026 Chinese New Year Gala organized by the Chinese Association of Guyana.

Ambassador Yang extended New Year greetings, highly praised the fruitful achievements of cooperation in various fields between China and Guyana in the past year, fully affirmed the outstanding contributions made by the overseas Chinese community in promoting practical cooperation between China and Guyana, and encouraged the overseas Chinese community to forge ahead and make new achievements in the Year of the Horse. The Chinese Embassy in Guyana will adhere to the principle of "diplomacy for the people" and provide high-quality consular services to the overseas Chinese community.

President Ali extended New Year greetings to the overseas Chinese in Guyana and the Chinese people, sincerely thanked the Chinese for their outstanding contributions to promoting Guyana's economic and social development, and said that Chinese culture has become an important part of Guyana's multiculturalism. He wished that China-Guyana relations would reach a new level in the Year of the Horse.
