Work session and public comment meeting take place Tuesday, Sept. 23

The Fort Worth City Council will conduct a work session at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, in the Work Session Room on the lower level of City Hall, 100 Fort Worth Trail.

The Council will receive informal reports on:

  • The proposed 2026 Council meeting schedule
  • 2025 Debt Plan
  • August 2025 report on the release of an area from the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ)
  • Proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance to restructure the Board of Adjustment
  • Proposed Council-initiated zoning changes for certain properties located in the Rosemont Neighborhood

Presentations at work session include:

  • Trinity Metro biannual briefing
  • World Cup 2026 planning overview
  • Economic Development program agreement with Alcon
  • Capital project coordination across departments and information on the Cast Iron Pipe Replacement Program
  • Use of interest earnings and City Hall expenditures

City Council Public Comment meeting

The City Council will hold a public comment meeting at 6 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall.

Residents may speak during the public comment portion of the agenda. Per Council Rules of Procedure:

  • Individual presentations are limited to three minutes.
  • Group presentations are limited to six minutes.
  • Time limits may be adjusted at the mayor's discretion.
