Windber Hospice at Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber will host a Job and Volunteer Fair as it prepares to reopen its Somerset inpatient hospice facility on June 1.
A Job and Volunteer Fair will be held on Wednesday, March 25 from 2-5 p.m. and Friday, March 27 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Windber Hospice at Somerset, 1474 N. Center Avenue, Somerset. The organization is seeking compassionate professionals to fill a variety of clinical and support roles, including registered nurses, nursing assistants, and other care team members. Volunteer opportunities will also be available for individuals who wish to support patients and families through companionship, respite, and bereavement services.
"As we prepare to reopen our Somerset inpatient hospice facility, we are building a team dedicated to delivering comfort, dignity, and compassionate care to patients and families," said Ginger Taylor, Director of Windber Hospice. "Hospice work is meaningful and mission-driven, and we are proud to create new opportunities for individuals who feel called to serve their community."
The Somerset inpatient facility will provide 24/7 nursing and medical oversight in a home-like setting, strengthening Windber Hospice's continuum of care across the region.
