Chinese Ambassador to Norway Hou Yue Attends Chinese New Year Tea Reception for Overseas Chinese in Norway

On February 4, the Chinese Embassy in Norway held a Chinese New Year Tea reception and a distribution ceremony of Spring Festival caring packages. About 40 representatives of overseas Chinese in Norway participated in.

Ambassador Hou Yue extended New Year greetings to overseas Chinese in Norway. She reviewed China's achievements in advancing Chinese modernization drive through high-quality development in 2025 and the progress inSino-Norwegian relations.Ambassador also briefed the blueprint of China's development for the next five years outlined in the Recommendations for Formulating the the 15th Five-Year Plan. She encouraged overseas Chinese in Norway to remain steadfast in their enthusiasm and compassion for their homeland,to support the national reunification, and to participate in the great endeavor of national rejuvenation. The embassy will always implement the principle of "diplomacy for the people" and provide thoughtful and considerate services.

Ambassador Hou Yue presented the Spring Festival caring packages to the representatives from the Chinese community. The packages were prepared by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the Tianjin Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, the Tianjin Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and the Chinese Embassy in Norway. The attendees expressed their gratitude for the care from the homeland and the support from the Embassy for the work of overseas Chinese community, stating that they would continue to leverage the strength to contribute to the friendship between China and Norway.
