When the City of Philadelphia activates an Enhanced Code Blue emergency for extreme low temperatures and dangerous wind chills, select Philadelphia Parks & Recreation locations serve as Warming Centers.
Residents can get out of the cold and into a heated space at a neighborhood recreation center, where they'll have access to a warm, heated space along with water, snacks, blankets, and warming kits. On-site nurses provide medical support, and shelter outreach services are available through the Office of Homeless Services (OHS).
The following Philadelphia Parks & Recreation locations will serve as Warming Centers starting Wednesday, January 21, and are open from 9:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.:

Warming centers are open to anyone who needs relief from the cold. Warming centers accept walk-ins. Individuals living outdoors who need transportation can call (215) 232-1984 to request a ride.
The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will publish and maintain an interactive center map at Phila.gov/getwarm, listing current locations and hours of operations. Because sites may change over the course of the weather event, residents are encouraged to check the map before traveling.
