ADVISORY - MONTGOMERY COUNTY - Governor Shapiro to Ceremonially Sign Legislation Securing Daily Recess for Pennsylvania K-5 Students, Helping Kids Learn and Develop Critical Skills for Life
Governor Josh Shapiro will visit North Wales Elementary school to ceremonially sign HB 1505, legislation advancing the Governor's 2026-27 budget initiative establishing 30 minutes of daily recess for Pennsylvania K-5 students.
The Governor's 2026-27 budget established 30 minutes of daily recess for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, ensuring students have dedicated time each school day for movement, social interaction, and stress management so they return to the classroom refreshed and ready to learn.
