A delegation of SCO Secretariat meets with the Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic

On June 4, 2026, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Youth Forum in the Digital Sphere in Bishkek, SCO Deputy Secretary-General Sohail Khan was received by the Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mirbek Mambetaliev.

The parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the cultural and digital spheres. In particular, they considered the prospects for implementing joint cultural initiatives, the use of digital technologies for the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, as well as the further development of cultural interaction between the Organisation's member states.

In addition, they exchanged views on the matters related to holding of a meeting of ministers of culture of SCO member states and the strengthening of cultural cooperation mechanisms within the Organisation as a whole.
