Starting July 1, 2025, Portland Parks & Recreation's (PP&R) Urban Forestry division will eliminate or reduce many of the most common tree permit fees. This removes financial barriers for Portlanders while continuing to protect and preserve the city's urban forest. Please note that permits are still required before removing or working on regulated trees.
