Participation in the First Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Central Asia and Germany in the 'C5+1' Format

On February 11, 2026, the first meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Central Asia and Germany in the "C5+1" format was held in Berlin. The delegation from Tajikistan, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr.Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated in the event.

The foreign ministers discussed important issues on the international and regional agenda, as well as the development of economic, investment, humanitarian, migration, and security cooperation within the "C5+1" framework.

In his speech, Mr.Sirojiddin Muhriddin emphasized that Tajikistan and Germany are strengthening cooperation in key areas such as economy, investment, energy, industry, education, science, and culture, with a particular focus on people-to-people relations. He also noted that the meeting reflects the shared commitment of Central Asian countries and Germany to the sustainable development of the region.

The importance of efforts to address the impacts of climate change, promote the water and climate agenda, foster intercultural dialogue, and combat modern threats was underscored. The significant contribution of Tajikistan to regional peace and stability was also highlighted.

In this regard, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan stressed the need for international cooperation on these issues and invited attendees to participate in the 4th High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development," 2018-2028, which will be held in Dushanbe on May 25-28, 2026.

At the end of the meeting, the ministers adopted the Berlin Declaration.
