City of Dallas Launches January CERT Training Course to Boost Community Preparedness
DALLAS-The City of Dallas Office of Emergency Management & Crisis Response is excited to announce the upcoming Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training Course. This free, comprehensive program is designed to empower local residentswith essential skills for emergency and disaster preparedness.

Sunday, January 12, 2025: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday, January 19, 2025: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The CERT program equips participants with critical skills for responding to emergencies and disasters. The curriculum includes:

Basic disaster preparedness

First aid and fire safety

Light search and rescue operations

A hands-on disaster exercise on the final day
Upon successful completion of all sessions, participants will receive a certificate of completion. This training is ideal for those passionate about enhancing their emergency preparedness, contributing to community safety, and engaging in disaster response efforts.
