A coordinated series of European events on AI innovation will take place between mid-October and mid-November 2026.
Following the announcement by Executive Vice-President Virkkunen at the Indian AI Impact Summit, a coordinated series of European events will take place between mid-October and mid-November 2026 under the flagship of the European AI Innovation Month.
Organised jointly by the European Commission and the Irish Presidency of the Council, this initiative will dedicate 4 weeks to discussing and showcasing the development and deployment of AI in Europe. It will provide a coherent narrative covering political vision, research excellence, and industrial uptake.
The European AI Innovation Month will start on 14 October 2026 in Ireland and conclude on 17 November in Belgium with the European Apply AI Summit, organised by the European Commission's AI Office in Brussels and online via a virtual conference tool.
The European Apply AI Summit will be the first gathering following the publication of the Apply AI Strategy, in October 2025. The Summit will have a sector-specific approach, featuring initiatives related to AI adoption from the public sector and other key industrial sectors. The summit will also host high-level representatives from these sectors and EU projects to discuss the way forward.
A dedicated webpage with all associated events, at European and national level, will be set up shortly. Stay tuned!
