Port Clinton City Schools Recognizes Outstanding Supporting Staff Members

Port Clinton City School District honored outstanding supporting staff members for their dedication, hard work and commitment to students, staff and community during Port Clinton City Schools Opening Staff Day on Aug. 20, 2026.

The school district created these awards this year, mirroring its Excellent Teacher Awards program, to recognize staff in supporting roles including administrative assistants, aides, custodial and maintenance workers, bus drivers and food service employees for their exceptional contributions to student success.

These staff members play an essential role in the daily success of district schools. Though their work spans many different areas across the district, they share a common purpose: supporting students and fostering a positive school environment.

The following staff members received recognition as 2026 Outstanding Staff: Ed Fick, Bus Driver, safely transporting students while often being the first and last district employee students see each school day; Dawn Courtright, Custodial and Maintenance, keeps district buildings and grounds safe, clean, welcoming and ready for students and staff; Jill Martinez, Administrative Assistant, provides the organization, communication and daily support that helps schools operate effectively; Leslie Reagan, Educational Aide, works directly with students and teachers to provide encouragement, assistance and additional support in the classroom; and Melissa Davis, Food Service, prepares and serves meals while providing students with a welcoming and caring environment each day.
