Gainesville to delay business tax renewal notices during upgrade

The City of Gainesville will delay mailing out annual business tax renewal notices to local businesses as it upgrades to a new software system.
The Revenue & Receivables Office expects to launch its new software in January 2027. Business tax renewal statements that normally are mailed out by early September will be available electronically through a new portal in January.
Any business with a paid fiscal year 2025-26 business tax receipt will be considered in good standing for the fiscal year 2026-27 until the renewal period reopens.
