The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 6 in Brooklyn. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, July 6, 2026, and be completed on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. Project No. DOT01720558CN "C" consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.98-mile segment of Route 6 in Brooklyn from the Hampton/Brooklyn Town Line to the end overpass at Blackwell Brook.
This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading Inc. on Monday, July 6, 2026, to Monday, July 13, 2026. The project is scheduled to begin resurfacing by All States Construction Inc. on Monday, August 24, 2026, to Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
This project is included in CTDOT's 2026 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 6 in Brooklyn from the Hampton/Brooklyn Town Line to the end overpass at Blackwell Brook. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
