Leaf Collection Begins October 21!
Leaf Collection Begins October 21! Don't fall behind this season by following these important tips:
✅ ONLY loose leaves will be collected.
Leaves in bags or containers WILL NOT be collected.
Leaves mixed with brush WILL NOT be collected.
Do not pile leaves around trees, posts, hydrants, or mailboxes.
Leaves should be raked off the grass and into the street, placed next to the curb as close to the street edge as possible, without obstructing traffic.
Reminder: Equipment may damage lawns if leaves are left in grass areas or ditches.
Please make sure all sticks, rocks, and debris are kept out of leaf piles.
Our streets will be swept following each collection, weather permitting.
Also, remember to place brush/yard waste and leaf piles in separate locations at the curb.
Give crews space: If you see our operators out working, please be patient and allow them plenty of room to operate safely.
Collection of leaves in fall requires a lot of work to be done in a very short time. Your cooperation in making leaf collection efficient is both needed and appreciated.Thanks, Verona Public Works!
