Metro is aware of attempts to lure businesses to fraudulent and malicious websites by sending phishing emails purporting to be from the division of purchases. This activity appears to be an attempt to compromise credentials and sensitive financial information. Current attempts have been "invitations" to bid on RFPs. However, there are concerns that other lures will be used, such as bogus purchase orders or attempts to tell vendors to use a link for payments.
Please remember that legitimate emails from the division of purchases will either come from the "@nashville.gov" email domain, "@public.govdelivery.com" email domain, or from the "@iad.opc.oracleoutsourcing.com" email domain.
Any emails from other domains should be treated as suspicious and we strongly recommend you contact either the division of purchases (615-862-6180) or the business assistance office (615-880-2814) if you have any questions about an email you receive. Do not use the contact information provided in the email, as that may not be legitimate.
