The Initial Press Release of a Kuo-Kuang Motor Transportation Inter-City Bus Collided with a Roadside Wall at the Bus Area Exit of Terminal 1 of Taoyuan International Airport

On May 16, 2025, at about 01:35, an intercity bus operated by Kuo-Kuang Motor Transportation Company Ltd. collided with a roadside wall at the bus area exit of Terminal 1 of Taoyuan International Airport. As a result of the crash, 32 occupants sustained injuries.

After receiving the notification, the Taiwan Transportation Safety Board (TTSB) immediately dispatched 6 investigators to the field to gather information in accordance with the procedures for investigating highway occurrences. This event was identified as a highway occurrence in accordance with the Transportation Occurrence Investigation Act and the Scope of Major Transportation Occurrence by the TTSB. An official investigation has been launched and the investigation team will continue to gather relevant evidence.
