WVDOT debuts revised podcast format, with podcast now available on YouTube!

The West Virginia Department of Transportation (WVDOT) communications office has debuted a revised format for the long-running "WV on the DOT" podcast, with the podcast now available for viewing on YouTube.

The award-winning podcast had previously been available on Apple Podcasts and SoundCloud.

"Produced by the West Virginia Department of Transportation's communications office, 'WV on the DOT' has informed its audience as a TV show, a radio show, and podcast for two decades," said WVDOT Communications Director Brent Walker. " Our new, fresh take combines all of those elements, to bring information about the WVDOT to our listeners, and viewers, in the most accessible way - in audio and video forms."

An episode of the "WV on the DOT" podcast won a TransComm Skills Award at the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials' TransComm annual meeting in Chicago in September 2025.
