Atlanta Fed Announces New Vice President and Regional Executive

For immediate release: June 11, 2025

Kevin Dancy has been named vice president and regional executive for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Research Division. Most recently, he served as assistant vice president in Operations and Administrative Services. Dancy will begin his new position on July 1.

In this role, Dancy will provide strategic support for the Regional Economic Information Network, with a focus on activities in the state of Georgia. He will work with other regional executives to collect targeted economic intelligence to support the Atlanta Fed's contributions to the monetary policy process. He will also contribute to the Bank's outreach activities.

Dancy's Fed career began in 2016 as a community development advisor at the Dallas Fed. There, he managed the community development function for the southeast region of Texas. He joined the Richmond Fed in 2020 as assistant vice president and corporate secretary, engaging with the Fifth District's board of directors. Prior to his career with the Federal Reserve System, he was an attorney and served as deputy chief of staff for a member of the US House of Representatives.

Dancy holds a bachelor's degree in administration of justice from Texas Southern University and master's of laws and public administration degrees from Texas A&M University and the University of Houston, respectively. He received his juris doctor degree from Texas Southern University.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and sections of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. As part of the nation's central banking system, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous commercial banks, and provides a variety of financial services to depository institutions and the US government.
